One of the last things you’d think an egg carton could become would be a charming lamp! But yes, this very easy step by step will give an upgrade to your home décor, add fun to your crafting and make the world a little cleaner. Let’s start!
You’ll need:
- 9 dozen-size cardboard egg cartons
- Scissors
- Spray paint
- 1 string of 100 LEDs
- Chicken wire (1 10″ × 20″ piece)
- Floral wire
- Craft knife
To start it properly you have to cut the cup from egg cartons and trim the edges of each cup in a way they look like four rounded petals. Then, spray paint the cups inside and out. Insert a light bulb through each hole in the chicken wire, using floral wire fix safely.
With lights facing out, roll the chicken wire around a cylinder and use floral wire to fasten ends together. Next, put a cylinder on one end. At last, cut an, X in the bottom of each egg cup with a craft knife and push each light bulb into a cup.
