One Day At A Time

One Day At a Time revolves around a Cuban-American family living in Los Angeles. It tells the story of a single, Army veteran mom dealing with PTSD, her kids and her Cuban mother (played by legendary actress Rita Moreno). This show manages to find the perfect balance between dealing with serious subjects and being hilarious. One Day At a Time actually got cancelled after three seasons on Netflix, but was saved by CBS’s Pop TV after fans launched a #SaveODAAT campaign.

Grace and Frankie

In Grace and Frankie, iconic actresses Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin play a retired cosmetics entrepreneur and a hippie artist whose husbands, successful divorce lawyers, announce that they are in love with each other and are leaving their wives. Then the two ladies decide to go live together as they come to terms with their new normal. Grace and Frankie is going into its sixth season (coming in January), but it has already been renewed for a seventh and final one. Which makes it the longest-running Netflix original series so far.

The Good Place

The Good Place is where those who have been good during their lives go once they die. But when Eleanor gets there, she realizes she has been sent to the wrong place. Then, she seeks help from a new friend to earn her spot.
