Today is a big and well-planned day for all Star Wars fans around the world. It’s time to show the love for one of the biggest movie series of all times, dress up as Rebel Princess, gather friends for a movies marathon (ready to watch all of the 6?) or just wear your fav Star War’s T-shirt as a proud Jedi.
Why do people say “May the Fourth be with you”?
The date for Star Wars day wasn’t chosen randomly. As a play on words, May 4th is the perfect time to celebrate one of the most important Star Wars phrases: “May the Force be with you”. In the movies, this quote is used to wish good luck 😉
In case you’ve been out of Earth in the past 40 years, this epic space franchise was created by George Lucas and the 1st movie was launched in 1977: Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. (They opted to launch the fourth episode first because of budget and technology issues, and even with this odd decision) As you can observe, the movie quickly became a worldwide success, being transmitted from generation to generation.
As Yoda said, “Pass on what you have learned.” So, take this opportunity to introduce a younger sibling, family member or friend to Star Wars! And don’t forget to take a look at Macy’s special Star Wars collection with 25-30% OFF!
