However, less than a year later, Amazon broke its own sales record. Prime Day 2019 was bigger than both Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined. Prime members purchased more than 175 million items during the 48-hour sale.

In 2018, the top selling product globally was the Echo Dot, which is Amazon’s Bluetooth speaker with intelligent voice recognition. In fact, Amazon’s products are, in general, the most wanted at the store sale. Last year, there were also great deals on Smart TVs at Amazon. Toshiba 50-inch Fire TV model was $100 off and bigger ones were even cheaper: LG 55-inch Ultra HD 4K OLED TV from $2,196 to $1,696, Samsung’s curved 65-inch 4K TV with $700 off and in one of the biggest price drops Sony’s monster 77-inch 4K UHD TV went from nearly $18,000 to $7,998.
